Categories covered include furniture and wood products, organic and agro-processed food, textiles and apparel, metals and construction materials, and precision engineering. Manufacturer profiles display founding year, team size, relevant certifications (ISO 9001, FSC, CE, organic), and declared export markets.

How does the RFQ process work?

Find a manufacturer or product, then click 'Request Quote'. Submit your requirements — quantity, delivery Incoterms, target price, lead time, and any certification requirements. The manufacturer receives your RFQ by email and in their Gemalli dashboard, and is expected to respond within 24–48 hours. There is no cart, no checkout, and no upfront payment — negotiations happen directly between buyer and manufacturer through in-platform chat.

The Gemalli platform interface is available in three languages: English, Ukrainian, and Russian. Manufacturers author their profiles and product listings in their source language; any locale they don't write themselves is auto-translated with Claude and stays fully editable. RFQ messages between buyers and manufacturers are sent as authored — buyers and manufacturers communicate directly through in-platform chat in the language they share.

How is content localized?

Each manufacturer authors their profile, product listings, and blog posts in their source language (English, Ukrainian, and/or Russian). For any locale the manufacturer hasn't written themselves, Gemalli auto-fills a translation with Claude — it stays clearly editable, and a manufacturer's own wording is never overwritten. Buyers and manufacturers correspond in chat in the language they share.

How are manufacturers verified?

Manufacturer onboarding is invite-only and takes 3–7 business days end to end. Each applicant completes three steps: (1) submission of company registration details (EDRPOU code or VAT number) checked against Ukraine's Unified State Register of Legal Entities; (2) a verification video call with the Gemalli team; and (3) an export-readiness assessment. Only companies that pass all three steps receive a published profile. Third-party certifications (ISO 9001, FSC, CE, organic) are validated against documentation before a certification badge appears publicly on the profile.

Browsing manufacturer profiles and submitting RFQs is free for buyers — no registration required to browse, no fee to contact a manufacturer. Gemalli generates revenue from a subscription fee charged to manufacturers for a published profile and access to incoming buyer enquiries. There are no transaction fees or commissions on deals closed. The Starter plan for manufacturers is free and includes up to 50 incoming RFQs per month. Paid plans (Professional and Enterprise) unlock additional listings, blog CMS, director profiles, Stories, and advanced analytics.

How do I contact a manufacturer?

Click 'Request Quote' on any manufacturer profile or product page. Complete the short RFQ form — your name, work email, company name, quantity needed, and a message. Your request is delivered to the manufacturer by email and appears in their Gemalli dashboard. They respond via the in-platform chat thread, which both parties can access at any time. For active manufacturers, the typical response window is within 24–48 hours.

Chat messages are stored and shown exactly as written — Gemalli does not auto-translate messages. Most manufacturers on the platform reply in English; if you write to a manufacturer in another language, expect them to reply in whichever language they're most comfortable with.
